About SmartMoneyTracker

On-chain smart money intelligence for crypto markets.

What We Do

SmartMoneyTracker is an analytics utility that monitors publicly available blockchain data to identify when wallets with verified profitable track records buy into tokens. Wallets are verified against on-chain profitability data (Birdeye PnL for Solana, cost-basis analysis for EVM). It is not a trading bot, not financial advice, and not a trading signal service. It is a research tool to help you observe what experienced on-chain participants are doing.

How It Works

1. 🔍

Wallet Discovery

We scan trending tokens and profitable trades on-chain to find wallets with consistent winning track records. Only wallets that pass quality and win-rate thresholds are tracked.

2. 📡

Live Scanning

Every 20 minutes, we scan all tracked wallets for new token purchases. When a wallet buys something new, we evaluate the token.

3. 📊

Scoring & Alerts

Each buy is scored across 4 weighted dimensions plus token fundamentals (see below). Tokens that pass quality gates appear on the dashboard with a virality score from 1-10.

4. 🛡️

Exit Tracking

We continuously monitor whether smart wallets hold or sell. When wallets exit, tokens move to "Decline" or "Bin" so you see the full lifecycle.

Two Scores. Complete Picture.

SmartMoneyTracker V4 gives you two independent scores for every alert — one measuring smart money interest, one measuring token safety.

Virality Score (1-10) — Smart Money Interest

Our Virality Score measures one thing: how interested are verified wallets in this token? Wallets are verified against on-chain profitability data. Unverified wallets receive lower quality scores, reducing their impact on alerts. The score reflects:

Wallet Quality (40%) Who is buying?

We look at each wallet's win rate, profit history, trade sizes, and wallet balance. A Battle Tested whale with 65% win rate dropping $20K carries far more weight than a Probationary wallet buying $50.

Convergence (40%) How many smart wallets?

When multiple independent profitable wallets buy the same token, that's the strongest signal we track. One wallet is interesting. Three is significant. Five is rare and worth paying attention to.

Conviction (20%) How much are they spending?

Size matters. When smart money goes big, they're confident. We measure the average buy size across all tracked wallets in the token.

Virality Score Guide:

1-3
Low interest — one wallet, small position, or newer unproven wallet
4-6
Moderate interest — decent wallet quality or early convergence
7-8
Strong interest — multiple quality wallets with real conviction
9-10
Exceptional — rare. Multiple battle-tested wallets going heavy

Risk Score (1-10) — Token Safety

The Risk Score measures the token itself, completely independent of who's buying it.

10 = Very Safe

Deep liquidity, high market cap, established token, clean contract.

7-9 = Low Risk

Good fundamentals, reasonable liquidity.

4-6 = Moderate Risk

Newer token, lower liquidity, some flags.

2-3 = High Risk

Low liquidity, micro cap, or concerning flags (mintable, declining).

1 = Extreme Risk

Dev exits, pulled liquidity, or honeypot indicators.

Risk flags shown on each alert:

mintable low liquidity dev exit declining micro cap new token and more

Risk Score Color Coding:

8-10
Green — Safe
5-7
Amber — Moderate
3-4
Orange — Risky
1-2
Red — Dangerous

Why Two Scores?

Smart money doesn't only buy safe tokens. Often the biggest wins come from early, risky plays that proven traders spot before anyone else.

A Virality 8 / Risk 3 alert means: multiple verified wallets are buying a risky new token. That could be a big move — or a rug. We give you both pieces of information. You decide.

High Potential, High Risk
High Virality + Low Risk Score
V: 8 R: 3

Multiple proven wallets buying a risky new token.

Low Signal, Low Risk
Low Virality + High Risk Score
V: 3 R: 8

One wallet bought an established token.

Quality Opportunity
Strong Virality + Strong Risk Score
V: 7 R: 7

Strong convergence on a solid token.

Honest disclaimer: This is a signal tool, not financial advice. Most meme tokens lose value regardless of score. Even high-virality, low-risk alerts can and do lose. The system tracks its own outcomes transparently — check the dashboard for real win rates. Use this data as one input in your own research, not as a buy signal.

Token Lifecycle (Buckets)

Every token flows through four stages based on real-time on-chain data:

⚡ New
Smart wallet just bought in. Fresh signal being monitored.
🔥 High Interest
Multiple quality wallets converging. Strong fundamentals. Price holding.
📉 Decline
Smart wallets selling. Price down 20%+. Dev moved tokens.
🗑️ Bin
Dead. Liquidity pulled, dev exited, or all smart money left.

HIGH requires: Liquidity > $10K, price not dropping > 15%, no micro-buy swarms (unless 5+ wallets converge), no rug warnings, market cap > $75K, score above tier threshold.

DECLINE triggers: Price down 20%+, 50%+ smart money exit ratio (70%+ bypasses grace period), dev moved tokens with < $50K liquidity, very low liquidity (< $5K) after 60 min. New tokens (< 4h) are given a grace period before these triggers apply.

BIN triggers: Liquidity pulled, dev exited, 100% smart money exit, price crashed 90%+, token older than 30 min with < $1K liquidity. New tokens (< 4h) are exempt from the low-liquidity bin trigger to allow time for data to populate. Once binned, tokens must remain in the bin for at least 7 days before they can recover.

Wallet Tiers

Wallets are ranked into three tiers based on their verified on-chain performance:

🏆
Battle Tested

High quality score, strong win rate, verified profitable exits across many trades.

Promising

Good quality score and decent win rate, but shorter track record than Battle Tested. Could move up or down as more data comes in.

🆕
Probationary

New or unproven wallets. Recently discovered from trending tokens or profit leaderboards. Alerts from probationary wallets receive a scoring penalty. They get promoted or removed based on outcomes.

Dashboard Badges & Icons

Dual Score Display

In V4, every alert card shows two scores side by side. The Virality Score (smart money interest) and the Risk Score (token safety) are displayed independently so you can quickly assess both dimensions. Virality uses the color scale: gray (1-3), blue (4-6), green (7-8), gold (9-10). Risk uses: green (8-10), amber (5-7), orange (3-4), red (1-2). Additionally, risk flag pills appear below the scores — small colored badges like low liquidity micro cap that give you an at-a-glance view of what specific risk factors are present.

Alert Card Badges

🔥 4 wallets Number of independent smart wallets that bought this token (blue = active buying).
👥 4 tracked Same count but in grey — shown when token is in decline/bin (wallets tracked, not necessarily still holding).
⚠️ Rug Risk Token's price has dropped 90%+ from its peak within 60 days. Possible rug pull. Hover for details.
🚨 Dev Exited The token developer/deployer has sold their tokens — strong exit signal.
⚠️ Dev Moved Developer moved tokens (could be selling, staking, or treasury ops). Weaker signal than "Dev Exited".
📤 60% Exiting Percentage of tracked smart wallets that have sold this token. Higher = more wallets leaving.
💀 Exited All tracked smart wallets have sold. Token is effectively dead from a smart money perspective.

Token Data Fields

Buy The estimated USD value of the smart wallet's buy (based on transaction cost basis or current price).
💧 Liq Current liquidity in the token's trading pool. Low liquidity (< $10K) means high slippage and exit risk.
📊 MCap Current market capitalisation (capped vs liquidity to prevent inflated FDV values).
▲/▼ % 24-hour price change. Green = up, red = down. Tokens down 20%+ move to Decline.

Live Feed Ticker

The scrolling bar at the top shows the 15 most recent non-bin alerts. Each item shows: tier emoji, token symbol, virality score (colour-coded: green ≥ 7, amber ≥ 4, red < 4), risk score, chain, wallet count, and time since alert.

Card Footer Links

🔍 Proof Link to the wallet's transaction history on the block explorer (Etherscan, Basescan, etc.).
📄 Transaction Direct link to the specific buy transaction on the block explorer.
📊 DexScreener Link to the token's chart and trading pair on DexScreener.

Risk Flags

These flags are detected automatically and affect scoring. They may not always be visible on the card but influence where the token appears:

Rug Risk — Token's price dropped 90%+ from peak. Our rug detector checks CoinGecko price history over a 60-day window. This is a best-effort flag and does not guarantee a rug pull occurred.
Liquidity Pulled — The token's liquidity pool has been drained. This is typically irreversible and means the token cannot be traded.
Micro-Buy Swarm — 3+ wallets all bought tiny amounts (avg < $500). Often indicates coordinated bot activity rather than genuine smart money convergence. The more wallets and the smaller the buys, the heavier the penalty.
Mostly Unproven Wallets — 80%+ of the wallets that bought are "Probationary" tier with no track record. Less reliable signal.
Launch Snipe — Wallet bought within 15 minutes of token launch. Could be an insider or a sniping bot rather than genuine analysis.
Low/Micro Liquidity — Token has less than $25K (low), $5K (very low), or $1K (micro) in its liquidity pool. High slippage risk and harder to exit.
Low/Micro Market Cap — Market cap below $250K (low) or $100K (micro). Very early-stage and high risk.
Price Tanking — Price has dropped more than 40% in the last 24 hours.
Too Old — Token pair is older than 7 days. Alerts for established tokens score lower because the early alpha window has passed.

How We Determine "Smart" Wallets

Not every wallet that makes money is "smart money." We apply strict filters:

Discovery: We find wallets by looking at who bought trending tokens early (before they pumped) or who appears on profit leaderboards.
Profiling: Each wallet is profiled by checking its last 3-7 recent token buys. We look at how many of those tokens are still alive (have $25K+ liquidity, $10K+ daily volume, and haven't crashed more than 30%).
Win Definition: A "win" means the token still has $25K+ liquidity, $10K+ daily volume, and hasn't crashed more than 30% from its price at buy time.
Quality Gate: Wallets must have a quality score of 5.0+ and a win rate of 40%+ to be tracked. This filters out random traders, bots, and one-hit wonders.
Bot Detection: Wallets with 95%+ win rates are flagged as likely snipe bots (automated trading scripts) and score lower. Real humans don't win 95% of the time.
Re-evaluation: A re-evaluation job runs every 8 hours, checking wallets in priority order. Each wallet is re-evaluated at most once per day using real on-chain trade data (buy/sell history). If their win rate drops or they accumulate losses, their quality score decays and they produce lower-scoring alerts. Wallets with no trades in 30 days are decayed. Very poor performers are removed.

⚠️ What SmartMoneyTracker Is NOT

  • Not a trading bot — we never execute trades
  • Not financial advice — all data is informational only
  • Not a guarantee — smart wallets lose money too
  • Not a trading signal — high scores don't mean "buy"

SmartMoneyTracker is a market research utility. It helps you see what experienced on-chain participants are doing so you can factor that into your own research. Always DYOR. See our full disclaimer for more.
